Strapping tape
PP strapping, formally known as polypropylene, is one of the lighter common plastics. Its primary material is polypropylene resin of the fiber‑grade type. Thanks to its excellent moldability, high tensile strength, good flexural resistance, low density, and ease of use, it is processed into strapping bands that are widely employed across various industries. “PP” stands for polypropylene, and there are many grades of polypropylene; for optimal results in strapping production, polypropylene resin of grade T30S is typically used. Appearance of PP strapping: semi‑transparent to opaque, with a transparent film‑like texture. Combustion characteristics: it is combustible in flame and will either extinguish slowly upon removal from the flame or continue burning. During combustion, the upper portion of the flame appears yellow, while the lower portion is blue; melting and dripping may occur, and a paraffin‑like odor can be detected.

Strapping is a widely used packaging material that comes in many varieties. Depending on the classification criteria, it can be categorized as follows:
1. Based on the type of PP material used in production, belts can be classified as core‑wrapped belts and solid‑core belts.
2. Based on product quality, grades are classified as transparent Grade A, transparent Grade B, Grade A, AB grade, Grade B, BC grade, and Grade C, among others.
3. Based on the type of strapping machine used, straps can be categorized into manual strapping bands and machine‑applied strapping bands (which are further divided into fully automatic and semi‑automatic machine‑applied bands).
4. Based on their applications, they can be classified into packaging strapping and craft‑making straps.
5. Based on whether printing is present, they can be classified into printed tapes and non-printed tapes.
6. In terms of load-bearing capacity, the main types are PP strapping, plastic‑steel strapping (also known as PET strapping), and steel‑strip strapping.
7. Based on the source of raw materials used to manufacture strapping, it can be classified into virgin‑material strapping and recycled‑material strapping.
8. In terms of color, the main types are white strapping, gray strapping, and colored strapping.
